Rice already gone?
By all accounts this is his last season with us and, mentally at least, he may already have left - time will tell if his form drops as the season progresses. The big question is how Moyes is planning to replace him come this time next year.

Lots of facts here

Re: Rice already gone?
Well, we brought Kral in on loan so if it works out we will already have a replacement. We’ll also see how Coventry gets on at Huddersfield.

Apart from that, we’ll just have to cope without him like the other 19 clubs.

If he gies.

Re: Rice already gone?
He's not that kind of person. I'm confident he'll put in 100% whenever he plays for us.

What are tomorrow's lottery numbers please?

Re: Rice already gone?
It may be stating the fucking obvious, but the less likely we look like winning stuff, the more likely he'll want to go elsewhere.

Re: Rice already gone?
When he goes, it will be the same as when any other big player has left us. We move on.

Fucking weird article

Re: Rice already gone?
so he is mentally gone, going to see a dip in form?

Call me deluded but would have thought if he wants this move he needs to show he has the goods, a dip in form and attitude isnt going to cut it with those who manage "Big" clubs.

Also you forgot to mention that he is looking at signing a new contract (if rumours are true) with us with a buy out clause, thats good for us and good for him i would have thought, cant blame him for wanting to play for some of the so called big clubs, perhaps even in Europe in the future.

And the big question as you put it, well Kral has just arrived, convieniently on loan, would imagine if he cuts the mustard we have our replacement.........

Re: Rice already gone?
I saw a few rumours flying around he wanted to sign a new contract but wanted a release fee as part of it. If we have a good season then I can’t see why he’d want to leave

Re: Rice already gone?
Plays every week
Captain of the side
Playing in Europe
Regular England starter
Well paid
Adored by the fans
Manager who believes in him

Why would he want to leave just to sit on the bench?

gph 2:21 Sat Sep 4
Re: Rice already gone?
There aren't many benches he'll be sitting on, unless it's for rotation reasons, and then, he'll be playing more often that not.

Re: Rice already gone?
Fair play to him, he got rejected at Chelsea and put his head down and came good, thankfully at West Ham.

If he does go, which he will one day I suspect then we will cash in. Hopefully we can find a couple of other quality players that can help strengthen the squad over all. Recoup some of the losses on Haller and Anderson.

Could be all bollox of course but time will tell.

nychammer 2:31 Sat Sep 4
Re: Rice already gone?
dosen't it have to be next year if we want to cash in? when does his current contract expire?

He seems like a pro who will give his all for us until such time as he does leave, and it should be on good terms.

Re: Rice already gone?
This is how West Ham are viewed, he’s deemed too good for us and let’s talk about the club he should play for instead as he deserves to win things……football snobbery at it’s best….but then this is how we are set up….not to step out of the shadow of those clubs that claim to deserve everything every boring season otherwise it’s the worst thing to happen to football ever wever……or basically for brand PL.

The only good thing is Tottenham are starting to get viewed the same way.

Re: Rice already gone?
He didn’t have a proper off season, so he’s probably tired. I thought we all knew this?

Nutsin 3:03 Sat Sep 4
Re: Rice already gone?
His contract is up 2024 which is why they are saying next summer

Hermit Road 3:06 Sat Sep 4
Re: Rice already gone?
Declan Rice has got 3 years left on his contract and the club have an option to extend it for a 4th year. That means he has 4 years left.

We should be holding on to him for the next two years at least. Hopefully he signs for longer though but we are not under any pressure to sell unless the money is obscene (more than Grealish who isn't fit to lace his boots)

Re: Rice already gone?
if by some miracle we get CL football he'll stay.

if we come around 5th and cement ourselves as an actually decent club instead of a one season wonder it'll be 50/50 for another season.

any sort of regression and he's 100% gone.

Manuel 3:37 Sat Sep 4
Re: Rice already gone?
Give it a rest ffs. Talking about this fella all the time is fucking tiring, but no doubt some of you cunts will waffle on about it all season.

As for him not pulling his weight this season, well none of the big boys want him now, so he has no chance if his form tails off. It's also piss poor form to accuse a pro like Rice not to give 100%. Twat.
